ED Sheeran is being lined up to sing the new James Bond theme as 007 Daniel Craig is a huge fan.
The 28-year-old singer, who just released album No.6 Collaborations Project, is top of the list to record the Bond 25 theme for the Cary Fukunaga-directed film.
A Bond source told the : "Daniel was introduced to Ed’s music by his daughter Ella.
"She loves Ed, and Daniel now really likes his stuff too and wants Ed for the theme tune.
"Daniel is not just the lead actor on the movie but also one of the producers, so he has huge sway over every aspect."
It would take little effort from The Shape Of You crooner as Ed anticipated he'd get the call from Bond producers, penning a track five years ago.
He said in 2017: "I’ve had a theme tune written for about three years.
"I’m not going to say (the title) because someone might steal it, but it’s good."
The yet-untitled 25th film will star Craig alongside Cuban-Spanish actress Ana de Armas, British film star Lanasha Lynch and Oscar-winner Rami Malek.
And it's likely Craig will get his way with Ed, as Fleabag writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge was drafted into the writing team after it was reported that the 007 legend demanded bosses bring her on board.
Meanwhile, Ed will be waiting for the call to make him the Bond 25 singer in his sprawling Suffolk home in East England.
He's got a huge property portfolio, with a total of 22 properties which have cost almost £47million in total, but his largest has its own pub.
It also has entertainment facilities but Ed recently admitted his wife Cherry Seaborn is worried that he is isolating himself at the large estate.
He said: "Cherry's trying to get me away from it. She's scared that the pub, the cinema - I've made it like my friends can just come here now rather than me going out. Cherry's always trying to get me to go out more and more."
The singer/songwriter revealed he hasn't been able to just pop out to buy something like a loaf of bread in the last three years because of how famous he is.
And while Cherry can appreciate he doesn't like the overwhelming attention of fans she has told him it's "not healthy" to always stay inside.
He added: "She's seen [the mobs], she obviously doesn't like it. But she says it's not healthy to do this."
