X Factor viewers spot James Arthur ‘miming’ as his voice remains at the same level despite pulling the mic away
The singer is known for his passionate live performances so fans were furious
X Factor viewers think they have spotted proof James Arthur was "miming" on tonight's show.
The former winner of the ITV singing competition returned to perform his new single but fans noticed something strange about his singing.

His voice remained the same volume despite him pulling the microphone away from his mouth repeatedly.
One viewer said: "Is James Arthur miming, everytime he pulls the microphone away the volume of his voice is exactly the same #XFactor"
A second added: "#xfactor James arther miming is just terrible. Plus his strange backing group dancing around pretending to play their instruments. Awful."
Another asked: "Who else is fed up with @TheXFactor guest acts miming... last week Little Mix this week James Arthur. #ShiteFactor #xfactor2018 #xfactor"

At the beginning of his performance, James was seen appearing to pull out his earpiece as he began the performance.
Last night's show was beset by another sound issue when technical difficulties ruined several performances.
Show bosses cancelled the vote and it only opened tonight after all the performances were replayed in full for viewers.
An ITV spokeswoman apologised last night in a statement to The Sun Online.

She said: “We apologise for the technical issue that affected the sound on part of tonight’s episode of The X Factor. We are investigating why this happened.
“We can confirm tonight’s public vote has been cancelled and will instead open in tomorrow night’s show at 8.30pm on ITV.”
