X Factor fans blame ‘greedy’ Robbie Williams for show sound blunder after it’s pre-recorded to fit his touring schedule
Yesterday's programme was pre-recorded in the afternoon to accommodate Robbie's South American tour. Contestants Danny Tetley and Anthony Russell suffered technical issues which blighted their performances
X FACTOR fans have hit out at Robbie Williams following the major sound blunders that plagued last night's pre-recorded show.
The judge made bosses film the 'live' show in the afternoon so that he could star in it before jetting to South America for his tour.
But contestants Danny Tetley and Anthony Russell's performances were blighted by technical issues prompting last night's viewers voting to be cancelled.
Angry viewers have criticised the show and Robbie for changing the way it is usually done.
They wrote on Twitter: "Greedy Robbie.
"They shouldn't have picked Robbie to be a judge knowing he couldn't be there for certain shows, that's just not professional at all.
"Thought my TV was on the blink. I blame Robbie Williams demanding show was pre-recorded. Hope he doesn't come back.
"All to accommodate Robbie Williams??? To be honest I think this year's series is the worst and all this is another nail in the coffin me thinks."
Viewers flocked to social media to blast the show after it began to break up shortly before Benidorm singer Danny Tetley's performance in tonight's pre-recorded show.
The channel was forced to apologise for the blunder on screen during his performance and afterwards during the judges' feedback.
The message read: "We are sorry for the temporary interference in sound.
Fans furiously blasted it as a "fix" for the audio going down during the show because it was pre-recorded.
One said: "How is the audience meant to vote on #XFactor this evening when the sound is being murdered by technical problems. Cannot judge if they are any good or not."
A second added: "Ain't it weird that there is sound interference during Danny's and Anthony's songs and then on the break it disappeared. I'm sure it's been set up #xfactor"
Another tweeted: "As this show is apparently pre-recorded as Robbie is on the overnight to South America, presumably the sound issue happened during the recording and was irreparable? #XFactor"
Others switched off from watching the show altogether because of the issues.
One said: "Switched channels, can't watch anymore. Sort out the sound!! #XFactor"
A second added: "We have switched off because of the sound fault. Unbearable #XFactor"
The sound was fixed after the break, confusing viewers even more, especially when the show tweeted out videos of the performances without any sound issues.
Prior to his performance, Danny revealed he is battling a severe throat infection - and took a swipe at his fellow finalists.
The X Factor hopeful also defended his on-stage rant last weekend as he made a subtle dig at the other singers' "questionable" song choices.
The finalist told This Morning hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes: "I do have a bona fide throat infection which is now hopefully on its way out and I've been panicking all week, because I've had no voice at all.
"Plenty of steam, fresh ginger, honey, lemon, mint leaf and my voice will come back."
