EASTENERS viewers have complained to Ofcom over the "sick" storyline which has shown Mick Carter being framed as a paedophile.
Fans of the show have been left disgusted by the episode which showed Mick getting beaten up in prison and they flocked to the broadcasting watchdog to express their anger.
The Daily Star reports that six complaints have been made to Ofcom about Monday's harrowing episode.
It showed Stuart Highway's twisted mate Fraser turn the rest of the inmates against Mick, played by Danny Dyer, by telling them he was a sex offender.
A spokesperson for the organisation told the publication: "I can confirm we have received six complaints about the Mick Carter/Stuart Highway storyline."
Stuart concocted the evil plan in a bid to get Mick in trouble and keep him in prison.
The pub landlord was even beaten up by one of Stuart's criminal pals in the harrowing episode after he was jailed on the suspicion of trying to kill his old friend.
Many viewers flocked to Twitter to complain, with one even declaring they would not be watching the show until the storyline was over.
They wrote: "Refuse to watch @bbceastenders while micks been accused of being a nonse...
"Even though it’s just a story carnt have one of my all time favourite actors portrayed as a nonse! #eastenders #dannydyer."
A second tweeted: "Now you guys have written a story for mick being a pedo this is too far I won't be watching this show again disrespectful as a social worker this isn't something not too lie about show or not #eastenders."
