ADAM Thomas has slammed Roxanne Pallett's apology interview on Jeremy Vine as "pathetic" and "frustrating".
The actress, 35, accused his brother Ryan of "punching" her on Celebrity Big Brother, and appeared on the Channel 5 show this morning to back track on her words.
Roxanne claimed Ryan "punched her like a boxer" and "intentionally" tried to hurt her on Thursday, after the actor caught her arm during a playful interaction in the house.
The former Emmerdale star caused public outcry with her claim, and quit the show after Friday's live eviction upon hearing chants of "Get Roxy out".
Speaking to Jeremy Vine today, the actress sensationally claimed she "got it wrong", and apologised for her "overreaction".
However, her apology did not go down well with Ryan's brother Adam, who accused her of being disingenuous and slammed Jeremy for his "pathetic" questioning on Twitter.
He wrote: "Jeremy vine to scared to speak up too pc pathetic interview !! ...
"To everyone that knows her and knows the real her and the lies and the stories she has spun for several years it is so frustrating to watch ..."
He ended his rant by writing: "good scene tho Rox annnddd cut!!"
Fans were also left outraged by the interview, and claimed Roxanne was "milking the attention" rather than sincerely apologising.
One wrote: "I've never seen anything so fake in all my life and I wear an exorbitant amount of fake tan."
As another added: "No Roxanne, you didnt get it wrong. You lied and milked it in the hope of getting attention."
A further fan agreed: "No sincerity in #roxannepallett & her apology at all.
"Why do you need to re watch the clip to know that you’ve been barely touched and hurt ffs. Compulsive liar who’s just embarrassed she’s been caught out."
Other fans agreed with Adam over Jeremy's questioning, and asked why the presenter and his panel been so "soft" towards her.
One viewer wrote: "I really do hope that @EmmaWillis is not as soft as this panel have been on her; apart from Jamelia who actually did speak out. Roxanne now playing the victim."
Another added: "Why is @jeremyVineon5 not questioning why she let it go on for 2 days!? And telling the other house mate lies in that time?"
While further viewers agreed: "The only thing ‘hard hitting’ about that interview was the replay of #Roxanne getting 'punched' meh #CBB"
And: "Can’t wait for her to get grilled by someone with a lot less sympathy! It’s not “Feel Sorry For #roxannepallett Day" ok! Disrespected my Monday morning"
Ryan was given a formal warning by Big Brother after Roxanne told producers he punched her "hard in the ribs", leaving her "in pain all night".
Fans immediately sided with the actor, who was seen in turmoil over the incident on the show, out of fear it had "ruined" his career and reputation.
Two days after leaving the house, Roxanne told Jeremy Vine today: "At the time it hurt, but when I look back on the footage, I got it wrong.
"My mind ran away with me. I am a sensitive person my friends and family can vouch for that.
"In the house everything becomes heightened. Your insecurities are heightened. All I can say I can explain is in the moment it felt worse than it was."
She added: "It was the word deliberate I regret. I doubted his intention. There was no malicious intention. That's what I apologise for.
"I got it wrong. I need to become a better person."
