CONOR MCGREGOR has sent a message of support to Paul Pogba ahead of Sunday's World Cup final.
Manchester United midfielder Pogba is preparing for France's clash against Croatia in Moscow, and the Notorious has wished him luck.
Former UFC champion McGregor posted to his Instagram account during a flight on his private jet on Saturday.
He said: "What's happening, Paul? I just wanted to say best of luck for the World Cup final tomorrow, my brother."
Pogba is a big fan of the MMA star from Dublin, and has been for some time.
In 2016, while on international duty with France, the midfielder posted a video of himself doing a strut during training.
He put the video on Instagram and called it "the notorious walk" — referring to McGregor's nickname — and tagged the Irishman in the post.
Pogba is known to be a keen fan of UFC having posted videos of himself to social media showcasing his MMA skills.
But the 25-year-old will require his more commonly used footballing talents if France are to lift the Jules Rimet trophy on Sunday.
Didier Deschamps' side have reached their third final in 20 years, while opposition Croatia have never gone this far before.
The game kicks off at 4pm (UK time).
