Hilarious moment just one fan wanted Olivier Giroud’s autograph upon France’s arrival in Moscow

Chelsea striker was kind enough to approach the crowd in Russia but he was not too popular

POOR Olivier Giroud has spent the whole World Cup working tirelessly as a foil for Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe yet only ONE France fan wants his autograph.

The Chelsea striker was dropped for the opening game against Australia but he helped his side snatch a late win during his 20-minute cameo.

The French striker understandably dashed inside

Since that nervous 2-1 win, the former Arsenal man has been the focal point and targetman for the Gallic side.

And his selfless runs and attacking hustling has created plenty of space for the youngsters around him to fill their shooting boots.

Yet, when his side mingled with fans outside their Russia base and the generous 31-year-old offered up his signature, only one of the crowd took up the offer, leaving the handsome marksman red faced.

Giroud helped knock Belgium and his friend Thierry Henry out of the competition.

The Gunners icon is assistant coach of the Red Devils after France snubbed the chance to add him to their team.

But Giroud took no pleasure in ending his World Cup and hopes they work together one day.

He said: "There's a lot of mutual respect. I don't resent him.
