World Cup 2018: England star Kieran Trippier is the tournament’s best creator… with 24 chances set-up
No player was more creative than the Three Lions' flying wing-back and set-piece maestro during the summer's festivities
ENGLAND finished the 2018 World Cup in fourth-place following their 2-0 defeat to Belgium on Saturday.
While the Three Lions squad had little to celebrate on the day in St Petersburg, they can be proud of their stunning achievements this summer.
Not only making it to the quarter-finals, but actually getting the fans back on side with an engaging, likeable manager and youthful, close-knit squad.
Amidst all the positives though, one of the stand-out stories has to be Kieran Trippier.
Whilst he was in superb form for Tottenham in 2017-18, watching him flourish this summer for England has been something of an unexpected treat for supporters.
His marauding runs down the right-hand side are just the tip of the iceberg... his set-piece taking has been the real party piece.
It's been well-documented England scored the majority of their goals from dead-balls - and almost every single one was thanks to Trippier's superb delivery.
His powerful, whipping balls into dangerous areas have made Harry Maguire and John Stones look like world-beaters.
His free-kick against Croatia was a thing of beauty.
Even his penalty in the last-16 shootout with Colombia was flawless.

And it's been revealed that Trippier, 27, is in fact the best creator of the entire World Cup - with just one game to play, the final.
So strong has his play been this summer, the ex-Burnley ace has been linked with moves to Barcelona or Real Madrid - and he's been given the key to the city of Bury.
The Spurs star has created 24 chances this summer in Russia and looks set to nail down his place in Gareth Southgate's starting XI for years to come.
