THIERRY HENRY looked like a man on the edge as Belgium lost to his beloved France.
Les Bleus legend Henry, 40, won the World Cup with his country in 1998 but was plotting their undoing in the semi-final.
Henry was never asked to be involved under France boss Didier Deschamps and now works as an assistant to Belgium coach Roberto Martinez.
Before kick-off in St Petersburg he embraced Deschamps, who the ex-Arsenal hero played alongside as France won their first World Cup as hosts 20 years ago.
He also played in the 2006 final, as Les Bleus lost to Italy on penalties, in the infamous match where Zinedine Zidane was sent off for headbutting Marco Materazzi.
Pictures showed Henry looking tense on the bench as France triumphed 1-0.

The former striker, who scored 51 times in 123 appearances for his country, saw Belgium go out after Samuel Umtiti headed in Antoine Griezmann's 51st-minute corner.
Ahead of the clash, Belgium midfielder Kevin De Bruyne said he would not be surprised if Henry joined in with the French national anthem.
De Bruyne admitted: “Maybe he is going to sing Les Marseillais. I would find that normal.
“It could be a little bit difficult for Thierry but he is working for Belgium now and he wants us to win.”
