World Cup 2018: England will be hoping Jordan Henderson’s incredible run continues ahead of semi-final clash against Croatia
The Liverpool midfielder hasn't been on the losing side for the Three Lions in his last 30 games
GARETH SOUTHGATE will be hoping Jordan Henderson keeps up his remarkable record for England against Croatia on Wednesday.
According to Opta, the Liverpool midfielder is unbeaten in his last 30 appearances for the Three Lions - the longest run of any player in the side.
And England will be needing all the luck they need as they look to book a place in a first World Cup final since winning the tournament in 1966.
Henderson, 28, starred in the 2-0 win against Sweden yesterday, with his long range passing proving to be a constant weapon in England's arsenal.
A veteran of the side, the ex-Sunderland ace has represented his side at both Euro 2012 and 2016, as well at the World Cup in Brazil four years ago.
In his last 30 games for England, Henderson has been on the winning side 23 times - drawing on just seven occasions.
Uruguay's 2-1 victory against the Three Lions in 2014 was the last time the Reds captain lost a match for England.
He has become an integral part of the side since Southgate succeeded Sam Allardyce as boss, and is in line to start in the semi-final against Croatia.
Henderson was one of four players who were a booking away from missing the match against Zlatko Dalic's side.
Should England beat their European opponents, they will face either France or Belgium in next Sunday's final.
