World Cup 2018: Harry Maguire trashes talk of defeat with joke about ‘putting the bins out’ – as he’s mocked by Kyle Walker
Fans and players have brilliantly captioned a picture of the Leicester ace talking to girlfriend Fern Hawkins in the stand
KYLE WALKER couldn't resist a joke directed at England hero Harry Maguire following his bullet header against Sweden - and the man himself later joined in on the fun.
The Leicester ace climbed highest to open the scoring and send the Three Lions to their first World Cup semi-final since 1990.
Dele Alli added the icing on the cake to spark mass jubilation around the country.
Throughout the tournament Walker has shown his humorous side with a series of hilarious tweets.
And he was at it again by captioning a picture of team-mate Maguire chatting to girlfriend Fern Hawkins in the stand.
Alongside the image, he wrote: "Yeah so a good header doesn't hurt. I mean the moment you head it proper, you feel it's a good one. You know what I mean love?"
Maguire, who was unlucky to lose out on the Man of the Match award to Jordan Pickford, responded with two laughing emojis.
He later tweeted again, captioning the photo: "Can you ask the neighbours to put the bins out on Monday? We're not going home just yet."
Other fans were quick to add their own captions, including: "Have I told you about my World Cup semi?"
Walker led England's celebrations on social media after the win and like every fan in the country, he also reckons “it’s coming home”.
Posting a picture of himself with his fingers on the side of his head, Walker tweeted: “When you can’t get ‘it’s coming home’ theme tune out your head.”
Other England players were quick to take to Twitter following the achievement.
