FRENZIED England fans let the side down yesterday as booze-fuelled supporters smashed up an ambulance and another lout launched himself through the glass roof of a London bus stop.
As a day of drinking turned ugly, ecstatic revellers scaled traffic lights, rode on bonnets and lit flares following the Three Lions' World Cup win against Sweden.
For many Three Lions fans, reaching a semi-final will be a new experience - but sadly the scenes off the pitch took a more familiar tone.
Boozy supporters ran amok in London, after hours of drinking in packed pubs and bars showing the big match.
One lout in Clapham Junction was filmed climbing onto the roof of a double-decker before jumping on to a bus stop.
But he crashed straight through the glass and sent an innocent woman flying onto the pavement.
It is unclear if the woman was hurt in the incident.
Amid a surging crowd in Borough High Street, in London Bridge, some supporters began climbing on top of an ambulance car - leaving massive dents in the bonnet and smashing the windscreen.
London Ambulance Service condemned the incident after it left the car out of service and unable to respond to emergencies.
It tweeted: "We're delighted with the result, but this has put a big dampener on the celebrations for us: while our officer attended a call nearby, this car was damaged in Borough High Street during the celebrations after the game - it's now off the road to be repaired."
Reality intervenes... the fan shatters the glass on touch down
Police are now investigating. A Met Police spokesman said: “Police were called at around 17:00hrs on Saturday 7 July to reports of a large group of people disrupting traffic in Borough High Street.
“A London Ambulance Service vehicle was damaged after members of the public climbed on it. The windows of the vehicle were also smashed.
“Detectives from Southwark are investigating and are aware of images circulating via social media. Enquiries are underway to trace those involved."
Elsewhere, two shirtless men were filmed riding on the bonnet of a car.
The potentially lethal episode is understood to have happened in Folkestone, Kent.
Unable to see, the driver reportedly nearly crashed into a family crossing the street with their dog.
While the spirits of England fans are at an all-time high, not everyone in Britain is happy with the Three Lions' footballing success.
Some Scottish, Welsh and Irish fans were not best pleased - mostly Scottish nationalists though.
SNP MP Pete Wishart took to Twitter to say: "ABBA records flung out, hammer now taken to the Ikea furniture and the Elk's for the barbecue. Other than that, I'm taking this well."
Fellow Scot Jamie Ross, a journalist for the Daily Beast, was filmed watching the match with his hand shielding his face, not looking overjoyed by England's fortune.
