FOMO ALERT

England vs Croatia tickets: How to watch World Cup 2018 semi-final in Russia as British Airways puts on extra Moscow flights

You don't want to be risking getting a dose of FOMO in the next few days

IN 2016, 'FOMO' was officially entered into the English dictionary.

Rather than a word it's actually an acronym — Fear of Missing Out — and to some it's a World Cup disease waiting to take over as England face Croatia on Wednesday.

The Three Lions are in the semi-finals of a major tournament for the first time in 22 years after beating Sweden 2-0 on Saturday.

Only 2,500 fans were in Samara to watch the quarter-final win, which was 500 less than the dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Colombia.

And the thought of not being in Moscow for Wednesday's semi-final is unbearable for some.

For that reason, British Airways and a small legal loophole in the Russian World Cup visa programme could be the antidote to catching FOMO this month.

Prior to the quarter-final, Football Supporters’ Association chief Kevin Miles explained how it's not too late.

He said: "Fans don’t realise that getting the the World Cup in Russia is as easy as getting to a tournament in France.

"You don’t even have to buy a ticket - all you need is a ticket number which can be from one bought by another fan for a previous or future game.

“That gets you into Russia where you can enjoy the hospitality, soak up the beer and atmosphere in the fan zones and get into a game if you’re lucky enough to get a ticket.”

British Airways have decided to increase the size of their aircraft for five round-trips.

It would even be possible to arrive in the early hours of Wednesday morning and get a return flight 24 hours later.

The opportunity to see England play in a semi-final may be costly though, with round-trip flights going for around £932.
