Prince William thinks football’s coming home as heir to throne congratulates England on semi-final achievement
Royal celebrations of the Three Lions' win over Sweden are led by Wills who says Gareth Southgate's men are making history
PRINCE WILLIAM tipped England to be kings of the world as he celebrated victory over Sweden by tweeting: "Football's Coming Home!"
Two Harrys have helped the Three Lions to their first World Cup semi-final since 1990.
Maguire thundered the opener in the 2-0 defeat of Sweden and Kane is the tournament's top scorer on six goals.
But it was Prince Harry's older brother who led the royal rejoicing.
Posting from the Kensington Palace account, he said: "You wanted to make history @England and you are doing just that.
"This has been an incredible #WorldCup run and we've enjoyed every minute.
"You deserve this moment - Football's Coming Home."
England lorded it over the Swedes for large periods without ever reaching peak form.
And keeper Jordan Pickford produced three outstanding reflect saves to preserve the excellent headed goals from Maguire (30 minutes) and Dele Alli (58).
Now Wills and the nation are hoping Gareth Southgate's men are the heirs to the crown lifted by the Three Lions for the only time in 1966.
