World Cup 2018: Mexico star Javier Hernandez sports Gazza-inspired blond haircut ahead of Brazil showdown
MEXICO are hoping to light up this summer's World Cup – after their stars dyed their hair bleach blonde.
Javier Hernandez and Miguel Layun sported the bright bleached top with Neymar and company waiting in the next round.
The West Ham striker, 30, netted for his country against South Korea in the second group game of the tournament.
And along with Porto defender Layun, 30, the former Manchester United forward was all laughs as he participated in training ahead of their last-16 clash against the Samba Boys.
It follows a long line of stars dying their hair at major tournaments, a trend made famous by the Romania team at the 1998 World Cup in France, who showed their collective spirit by unveiling their bleach blonde barnets to go with their yellow jerseys.
Two years earlier, Paul Gascoigne had done the same, when playing for England at Euro 96 and he came up with a maverick string of performances, culminating in his magical goal against Scotland.
