World Cup 2018: Belgium star Axel Witsel trolls Michy Batshuayi after he smashes ball into own face
Tianjin Quanjian star didn't let his international team-mate get off lightly for hilarious gaffe against England
MICHY BATSHUAYI was not safe from even his own team-mates after he smashed a ball into his own face.
The Belgium star's fellow countryman Axel Witsel joined in with everyone else by trolling the Red Devils striker after he hoofed the ball against the post only to have it rebound into his head.
Witsel, who was an unused sub in Belgium's 1-0 win over England, tweeted a picture of Batshuayi with his arms around a goalpost.
And he wrote alongside the image: "Guys it's all good between them."
Batshuayi replied to Witsel with the message: "No hard feelings."
He included a heart emoji in the comical post.
Batshuayi was celebrating Adnan Januzaj's wonder strike against Gareth Southgate's men when he became the subject of worldwide ridicule.
He picked up the ball and went to smash it into the back of the net.
Instead it ricocheted off the post and into his face.
The Chelsea man tweeted after the game: "Ahahha I knew I would be f***ed the minute I come to my mentions. Why am I so stupid bro. S*** hurts."
