And Fellaini, who has been linked with Arsenal and clubs in Italy and Turkey, says he will announce where he will be playing next season on July 1.

He admitted: "Like I said before, soon I will say where I will be playing next season. On July 1? Yes."

Fellaini is expected to start for Belgium against England in Thursday's Group G decider.

And he insists his club situation has not been a distraction to him at this World Cup.

Fellaini, 30, said: "I've been used to it for a few months now.

"I'm strong mentally to deal with it.

"Everybody is ready for the England game and it should be a good test for us, against a good team, good players, a lot of whom we know.

"We have to show our quality and show the other teams how difficult it is to beat Belgium."

Fellaini could come up against his Manchester United team-mate Jesse Lingard, who scored a stunner for England against Panama.

The Belgian added: "Jesse is a very clever player on the pitch and we saw that.

"He's done well for the past few years, that's why he plays for Manchester United, and he has to continue like that.

"He's a great person, a great character, and he loves to laugh and joke, which I think is important in the group.

"Everybody knows he's a good player who can score good goals.

"His ability in front of the goal is good. His technical ability is good and on the pitch his positioning is clever, so we have to be careful."
