ROY KEANE is no fan of the wild celebrations that followed England's 6-1 thrashing of Panama which sealed the Three Lions' place in the last 16.

The former Republic of Ireland and Manchester United skipper blasted his fellow pundits for prematurely declaring England as World Cup champions-elect.

And he had a stern warning for boss Gareth Southgate ahead of their final Group G game against Belgium.

Speaking in his role as an ITV pundit just hours after England's dominant performance, Keane said: "If I was in Gareth's shoes I wouldn't try to be too clever.

"I'm kind of bored of the lads all night, England have already won the tournament according to these lads.

"I would just say keep it simple, just focus on the next game, try to win the next game.

"Don't worry about last-16, quarter-final, final, try to win the next game of football.

"Don't try and please everybody, you're on about giving the lads from the squad a game - try and win the next game of football."

England crushed a feeble Panama side as they sealed their biggest-ever World Cup win in Nizhny Novgorod, running out 6-1 winners and setting a Three Lions record for goals scored in a World Cup game.

A hat-trick from captain Harry Kane, alongside John Stones' double and a long-range strike from Jesse Lingard, saw Gareth Southgate's side cruise into the World Cup round of 16.

But their destiny hinges on where they finish in Group G, to be decided in Thursday's clash with Roberto Martinez's side in Kaliningrad.

England could in fact benefit from a loss to the Red Devils, as it would put them in a more favourable section of the draw for the knockout rounds.

England and Belgium sit on identical records after two games with six points, eight goals scored and two conceded.

If the teams draw on Thursday, disciplinary points will be used to determine who goes through as group winners.

The Three Lions are in the ascendancy as it stands with two yellow cards to Belgium's three.

But that could all change, and if they remain level after their meeting then lots will be drawn to separate the two sides.
