In comparison, Lionel Messi, arguably the world's best player, took far longer to reach five World Cup goals, completing the feat in 1444 minutes.

Kane's, who now leads the World Cup goal-scoring charts, performances have helped England to secure their place in the last 16 with a game remaining in Group G.

The Tottenham star doubled England's lead from the spot after John Stones headed in the opener against Panama.

Jesse Lingard, who was fouled in the box, made it 3-0 with a great strike.
