World Cup 2018: Inter Milan join Everton in race for Sporting Lisbon star William Carvalho
The Portugal midfielder terminated his contract at Sporting following attacks at the end of the season and the Italian giants can offer Champions League football next term
INTER MILAN will challenge Everton for the signature of Sporting Lisbon and Portugal midfielder William Carvalho, it is reported.
Carvalho, 26, is expected to leave the Portuguese club as he terminated his contract following attacks at the club's training ground last month.
And Inter's offer of Champions League football may be more appealing than reuniting with former manager Marco Silva at Everton.
The pair worked together when Silva was in charge at Sporting for the 2014-15 season but was sacked four days after winning the Taca de Portugal for not wearing the official suit for a match.
, Inter are exploring the possibility of bringing in the now free agent.
It is believed the San Siro club are also considering moves for Mousa Dembele while Radja Nainggolan is expected to join the club next week.

Carvalho made 33 appearances for Sporting this season, the club he joined aged 13.
If Everton were able to sign the star, he would certainly bolster their midfield and be a fantastic capture as no transfer fee would need to be paid.
The midfielder has played every minute of his nation's World Cup campaign so far as Portugal drew 3-3 with Spain in their opener before beating Morocco 1-0.
He also featured heavily during their surprise Euro 2016 success and lasted the full 120 minutes in the final against France.
