Can Egypt still qualify for the knockout stages?

Mathematically, yes they can, but it would require a heavy upset on Wednesday.

With Uruguay beating Egypt in their first match, they only need a win over minnows Saudi Arabia to qualify.

But Egypt must hope the South Americans lose both of their final games, including against hosts Russia.

Salah's side need to win their last match against Saudi Arabia to stay within a chance of progressing.

When is their final group game?

Egypt take on Saudi Arabia on Monday, June 25 at 3pm.

It takes place at the Volgograd Arena.

Uruguay will face Russia at the same time, so Egypt will not be able to know if they are still in with a chance, should the South Americans lose on Tuesday.

Russia have all-but sealed progression into the next round, following their 3-1 win over Egypt.
