GARETH SOUTHGATE has told the England squad his World Cup starting XI.
The Three Lions travel to Volgograd tomorrow after for their opener against Tunisia and boss Southgate has named the team early.
Fabian Delph, who will not start the match, grinned and said: “I do know but I have been told I cannot tell you.
“We had an idea of the team anyway. We have been working on different systems but the set-up is pretty clear.”
“I don’t have any disappointments - ever. I live in the present. I am absolutely delighted to be in this squad. If we stick to our gameplan we can do well.”
Jordan Pickford will start in goal and the three-man defence is set to be Kyle Walker, John Stones and Harry Maguire.
Kieran Trippier and Ashley Young are the expected wing-back.
Jordan Henderson is expected to start in midfield along with Dele Alli and Jesse Lingard while Raheem Sterling will play behind Harry Kane.
Delph will not have any family in Russia but he added: “My missus is about to drop.”
Expecting his third child on June 30, Delph has been given permission to fly home.
