World Cup 2018: Irn-Bru troll ITV for their bright orange tournament studio during Russia vs Saudi Arabia

IRN-BRU brilliantly trolled ITV for their bright orange World Cup studio during Russia vs Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

Football fans across the globe had their eyes attentively fixed on the action... except for the Scottish drinks company.

Irn-Bru tweeted a video of Lee Dixon expertly analysing Russia's thumping 5-0 win over Saudi Arabia - with an orange, somewhat "bubbly" background.

They hilariously captioned the clip: "Good to see Lee Dixon punditing inside a giant bottle of BRU."

Meanwhile, ITV have been trolled by many others for a very different reason after a mixed bag of a performance for the World Cup curtain-raiser.

Fans were left missing the kick-off of the first game between Russia and Saudi Arabia as ITV's streaming service was still playing adverts.

As a result, viewers joined the clash a minute into the game - with many stating they wouldn't have this problem with the BBC.

One fan said: "Well done @ITV player for playing ads through the kick off of the World Cup's first match. Idiots."

While another stated: "Are you kidding me ITV?

"Did you just show one too many adverts and miss the kick-off of the FIRST GAME OF THE WORLD CUP?"
