FOOTIE THE BILL, GIRLS

England World Cup squad’s WAGs will have to fork out £10,000 each to join players in Russia

WIVES and girlfriends will have to fork out £10,000 each to join England aces in Russia after the FA refused to pay the bill.

And even then they will be under strict orders not to see their man on matchdays or the days before and after a game.

A source said: “The women aren’t happy.

"They’ll also have to stay in a separate hotel so players can focus on the tournament.”

Despite the bill - and the rise in tension between the Russian and British governments, plus fears of attacks on England fans by Russian hooligans - a number of WAGs are still planning to travel to support their partners.

Southgate has previously said: “I don’t think there has ever been a tournament where the whole family has been in with us the whole time. But will I encourage families to come and the lads to see them the day after a game, absolutely I will.

“For some, that will be really important. Sadly for my family, not so much. I’m there and I’m focused and I don’t want to be distracted.”
