RYAN Newman said he was medically treated to be unaware of his condition in the hospital. He told reporters: 'They were trying to keep me in a somewhat of a medically-induced coma from what I’ve been told.' The 42-year-old NASCAR hit a wall at 200mph and flipped during the final lap of the Daytona 500 in February.
