King Charles
King Charles is Britain’s current ruling monarch and eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II. He succeeded his mother following her death on September 8, 2022, having been the oldest royal heir apparent in British history. Charles has two adult sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, from his first marriage to Diana, Princess of Wales, who was tragically killed in a car crash one year after their divorce in 1997. Charles married Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall in 2005. She is now known as the Queen Consort.
