SEKA Arning is a German athlete who has made a big name for herself in the HYROX community.
The athlete wowed fans across the globe when she took home a trophy at the World Championships in Nice, France, after a gruelling race.
Discovering HYROX
Although not much is known about Seka’s early life, she often takes fans behind the scenes on Instagram and gives them a peek into her life as a HYROX champion.
In one confessional post, she admitted that discovering the competition in 2022 changed her life.
Seka shared that she had previously been a weight trainer, but that this left her unsatisfied and unhappy with her diet.
It wasn’t until she tried HYROX that she felt challenged by a sport and began to enjoy food again.

The athlete also shared a piece of advice which helps her stay at the top of her game.
She recommends that you “surround yourself with people who teach you, motivate you and inspire you”, so that you aspire to be on their level.

According to RoxCoach, an A.I. powered trainer which analyses HYROX races, Seka is one of the leading runners at the global competition.
At the 2024 Köln HYROX race, she was in the top 4% of all athletes taking part.

She finished with an incredible time of 01:07:25 after running 8km, with an exhausting workout checkpoint at each kilometre.
However, her biggest victory was at the 2024 HYROX World Championships in Nice, France, where she took home the Pro title.
Megan Jacoby took home the Elite 15 trophy, which was the next category above the Pro class.
World-class competition
HYROX is a global competition which sees athletic veterans race alongside total newcomers.
The runners must complete a 8km event, with tough workout stations at each kilometre checkpoint.
Several athletes have rocketed to fame after taking part in the sport including Celia Duff and Marc Dean.
