Inside the 623ft Ritz-Carlton megayacht set to sail this year

If you've ever wanted to go on a superyacht without the expense of chartering one, US hotel chain Ritz-Carlton could have just the vessel for you.

The luxury brand has just revealed more details about its Evrima yacht - launching in the summer - which is technically a scaled-down cruise ship for 298 guests and 235 staff.

The vessel - which cost $320m to build - is 623 feet long and home to 149 expansive suites, each with its own private terrace and personal concierge to help guests with their specific needs.

The average cruise ship is about 1,000 feet long but Evirma has been designed to feel closer to that of a chartered superyacht and its smaller size means it can more easily visit off-the-beaten-path enclaves.

On-board amenities include two infinity pools, a fully equipped gym, a Ritz-Carlton spa, cocktail lounge, cigar and cognac bar and its own signature restaurant, S.E.A.

Another key feature is the Marina terrace, said to be similar to a private beach. Sitting close to the water it comes complete with lots of water toys and offering "seamless entry into the sea”.

Evirma sets sail on its inaugural voyage in the Mediterranean on August 6 and prices vary depending on the destination and length of voyage, but seven days in the Caribbean would cost around £4,000 per person.
