HARRY Redknapp has revealed why Nick Knowles was heard frantically asking for a medic during Anne Hegerty's I'm a Celebrity exit.
The new King of the Jungle told The Sun exclusively that the DIY SOS star made the call on his behalf because he feared he was having a stroke after one side of his face swelled up.
Harry, 71, explained: "An insect got into my lip, I didn't even know.
"They said, 'What's happened?' My face has swelled up on one side, but I wasn't having a stroke thankfully."
Viewers thought that a medical emergency was unfolding last week after hearing Nick, 56, urging his fellow stars to get Medic Bob into camp “as soon as possible”.
Many missed Nick’s cry for help as it was barely audible but some fans overheard him and after watching back, the DIY SOS star can clearly be heard requesting aid.
Speaking into his mic, Nick whispered: “Gallery, if anybody is listening. I think this is fairly important. "We need to see (Dr) Bob as soon as possible, as soon as Anne’s crossed the bridge.
A TV insider told The Sun Online at the time that everyone in the camp was fine.
They explained: “There is no medical emergency.”
Fans grew increasingly concerned about Harry's health on the show after noticing that star wasn't eating properly.
The football manager refused to eat some of the jungle delicacies, such as kangaroo and wallaby wings, prompting speculation he was losing energy and wouldn't be able to cope.
He also suffered the misfortune of having not one, but two critters burying themselves into both his eardrums.
