Mob-like EU is undemocratic and acts like a bunch of gangsters
Mob rulers
WHEN Liam Fox says the EU acts like gangsters he is right in more ways than one.
They are certainly trying to hold a gun to our heads on Ireland and much else.
Their aims are to terrify us either into reversing Brexit or surrendering to permanent subservience — as well as to terrify other nations into staying in.
But look, too, at the Mob-style antics within the EU itself.
Last month Jean-Claude Juncker’s aggressive German aide Martin Selmayr was suddenly installed as Secretary-General of the Commission.
The existing one had seen him coming and abruptly and mysteriously quit.
EU commissioners’ doubts were then bought off with lavish new perks. And so, in a brutal, calculating coup worthy of the Godfather movies, the entirely unelected bureaucrat Selmayr seized ultimate power at the EU.
This is not a democratic organisation we should be part of.
It is a sewer of corruption run by ruthless men treating citizens with contempt.
Punish Putin
THE assassination attempt on Sergei Skripal and his daughter should not be the only trigger for pushing back against Russia.
Theresa May plans to retaliate when it is fully established Putin ordered it. That may take months. But come on — a Russian spy, a State-manufactured nerve agent. It’s not the Canadians.
And the list of recent Kremlin aggressions against us was already extensive.
We should target the assets and passports of Putin’s pals in London anyway.
We should tell his ambassador further incursions into our waters or airspace will see him and his staff deported.
We should push for economic sanctions that truly bite.
A rogue state cannot attempt murder on our streets unpunished.
A poor excuse
THERE is no end to Jeremy Corbyn’s excuses for his shameful deeds and associations. And his gullible cult swallow the lot.
Corbyn now admits being an active poster in a pro-Palestine Facebook group used as a hate platform by some of the vilest anti-Semites. His excuse? He “didn’t know” about their posts.
He once famously called Jew-hating Palestinian terrorists Hamas “friends”.
Excuse? “I was working for peace.”
He presented shows on Press TV — the propaganda channel for Iran, the world’s biggest state sponsor of terror and Israel’s No1 enemy. Excuse? “I highlighted human rights abuses.”

See a pattern? Corbyn’s cult either see nothing wrong with all this, or they reckon the Press invents it. They are as naïve as the CBI, failing to spot John McDonnell as a malevolent, dangerous thug behind that shiny new image.
Much of Britain clearly has more sense. Why else are the Tories polling in the 40s?
