The Weeknd deletes ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez from his social media – despite ‘amicable’ break-up
THE Weeknd has deleted his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez on social media, hinting that their break-up might not have been as "amicable" as they first insisted.
The 27-year-old rapper has not only unfollowed his ex on Instagram, but has also wiped all traces of her from his profile by removing old snaps.
His timing may come as a surprise, given that Selena has been inseparable from her former flame Justin Bieber for close to a month.
The Sun Online exclusively revealed earlier this month that the pair are back together, after Justin's pastor Carl Lentz encouraged them to reunite.
A source close to the star said: "They started texting when she was in hospital for her kidney transplant. Justin only found out through the press and he was hurt that she hadn't told him directly.
"He has been going to church every week and spends all his time with his pastor Carl Lentz - Carl has been encouraging 'reconciliation' between the two - to heal their friendship at least - and Justin basically has been asking her for her forgiveness this whole time.
"He's really cleaned up his life majorly, they consider each other their one true love."
Last week it was rumoured that The Weeknd had sent flowers to his ex-girlfriend and Victoria's Secret model Bella Hadid, congratulating her on her runway success for the lingerie brand.
A source told : “Abel sent her a gorgeous, huge bouquet of flowers along with a super sweet note telling her how amazing she is and how proud of her he is."
But while reconciliation rumours hung in the air, they were short-lived after the rapper - real name Abel Tesfaye - was pictured on a "revenge date" with Katy Perry last week.
