Coleen Rooney reveals WHY she took her wedding ring off as she speaks for the first time about Wayne’s bad behaviour
COLEEN Rooney has revealed the real reason behind her decision to take off her wedding ring following her husband's drink-drive shame.
Speaking out for the first time today about her husband's shameful antics, and the much reported time in between then and now between, the WAG revealed she "didn't feel right" wearing the ring as she was unsure about the future of her marriage.
She made an emotional statement on her Facebook page about the state of her marriage, which has been the subject of much speculation during the months since Wayne enjoyed a wild night out with party girl Laura Simpson.
Addressing the fact that Coleen has often been seen without her bling-tastic wedding band since the details of Wayne's wild night out in September, the mum-of-three wrote:
"It didn't feel right wearing my ring, I see it as a sign of commitment and I was unsure what was happening."
However, making sure that if she was seen without it in the future there would be no more second-guessing, she added:
"I don't always wear my ring day to day, especially when I go the gym which is where I get stalked by paps each morning. So, if I don't always have it on, maybe it's just because am going the gym or haven't put it on before the school run!!"
It comes as she was pictured at The Julie Perry Events Ladies Fashion Launch today in Manchester wearing her wedding ring.
Speculation over her and the Everton star's marital status had been rife since Wayne was pulled over for drink-driving following a night out in September - which came just weeks after she announced she was pregnant with their fourth child.
He was behind the wheel of Simpson's car and she was in the passenger seat.
It was later revealed the pair had kissed and Simpson claimed she would have bedded the star had their night not come to a premature end.
The couple were recently pictured having dinner at Nando's but neither had spoken out about the relationship until now.
