SPOILER ALERT – Does EastEnders’ Lauren learn the truth?

Given that she’s had to deal with the fallout from her late fiancé’s affair with her treacherous little sister, Lauren hasn’t had much time recently to show her more resourceful side.

But now she spies an opportunity to go undercover and ask some awkward questions thanks to her day job at Weyland and Co.

As she returns to work, Lauren quickly resumes her office flirtation with Josh (though, we can’t say that his unkempt half-beard is doing much for him in the stud stakes).

Things become more complicated when his ex-fiancée Imogen – the woman he was meant to be marrying this very month – shows up and messes with Lauren’s mind.

Thinking it’s for the best, Lauren then opts to work from home, but it’s not long before Josh appears on her doorstep like a lovesick puppy. Lauren tries to give him the heave-ho, but he’s nothing if not persistent.

Events get a lot more interesting after Ben makes a discovery about Luke and Josh’s property empire, and Jay shares Ben’s concerns with Lauren.

When she digs deeper and asks Josh about his family’s affairs, it leads to a confrontation between the brothers and a further revelation for Lauren.

Could she be about to uncover the whole dastardly plot?

Terror for the Taylors

Debts continue to plague the Taylors.

Going to a loan shark has only made things worse – and when a stranger brings Riley and Chatham home from their after-school club, it turns out that he’s the dodgy lender who Karen borrowed the cash from.

He helps himself to the telly before focusing on some more personal items, to the horror of Keanu and his mum.

Desperate to get her family out of this hole, Karen tries to flog her belongings in The Vic, but when Mick puts paid to that, Shirley and Linda hope to save the day…
