BRIT boxing champ Amir Khan almost made it all the way to the final of I’m A Celebrity 2017.
Here are a few things you may not know about the Bolton bruiser who ventured Down Under for the ITV show.
1, He often gets confused with a Bollywood actor
Fans often mistake Amir Khan, 30, for the Bollywood actor Aamir Khan due to their similar names, and send him messages meant for the actor on social media.
Khan told the : “So many people confuse me with Aamir Khan.
“In UK, even on the phone people mistake me for him.
“And on Twitter, Facebook, people send me messages thinking this is Aamir Khan the actor’s account.
“I think that my fans would be sending messages to his account too.”
He has more than two million followers on Twitter.
2, He fought for 13 years with a broken hand
Khan was Britain’s youngest-ever Olympic medallist when he won silver at the 2004 Olympic games in Athens aged 17.
He began boxing competitively at the age of eleven.
The fleet-footed star, known for his lightning hand speed, is a two-time world champion. He was brutally knocked out in his last bout against Canelo Alvarez last year.
Khan had stepped up in weight to fight Alvarez, perhaps the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
The Sun revealed that he fought for more than a decade with a broken hand.
This secret injury has plagued him and Khan admitted: “I’ve only been punching with 30 or 40 per cent power because it was so bad.”
He underwent an amazing operation to rectify the problem.
3. He was the victim of a nude video leak
A clip of the Olympic boxer wearing a T-shirt and boxer shorts while performing a sex act on himself was released online in January.
The footage shows the famous sporting face in conversation with a female model through the video call service Skype.
It is said to have been made weeks after he married Faryal Makhdoom.
Privately, she was said to be “disgusted” by the tape.
The woman in the footage is thought to be from Arizona, US.
She is thought to have first had a fling with the former world champion in 2010.
4, Yobs tried to steal his car…it didn’t end well for them
Five years ago an armed gang took a pounding when they tried to steal Khan’s £100,000 Range Rover.
The former world champ and his boxing brother Haroon, 20, as they returned to the flash motor after a night out.
Despite being heavily outnumbered, the brothers fought back and landed a flurry of blows.
An onlooker told the Sun: “These guys tried to jump Amir and his brother, but they picked on the wrong blokes.
“They parked their car in front of the Range Rover. At least one had a cosh.
“One slapped Amir and clipped him on the lip but Amir pulled back and knocked him out cold.
“Then five of them went for Amir and Haroon — but they stood their ground and these guys got dropped one by one.
“They left these men with cuts and bruises but all they were doing was defending their property.”
5, He has raised thousands for good causes
The boxer started his Amir Khan Foundation and has ploughed thousands into various causes around the world.
This included the 2004 India Ocean tsunami and the 2005 earthquake in Kashmir, Pakistan.
He’s a passionate Bolton Wanderers fan and the city’s uni gave him an honorary degree for his contributions to charity and sport.
After a 2014 massacre in Peshawar, Pakistan, which claimed the lives of 148 people, he vowed to help rebuild the Army Public School devastated by the terrorist attack.
Khan condemned the terrorism as “absolutely horrific and sickening”.
