Viewers call Gone To Pot the ‘Blue Planet for stoners’ as they are left in hysterics over ‘Pat Butcher’ smoking a spliff with nuns
Fans went wild as former EastEnders star Pam St Clement puffed on a bong during US road trip for the new ITV show
GONE To Pot viewers were left in hysterics tonight as former EastEnders star Pam St Clement was shown smoking a spliff with a group of nuns.
The new ITV show was branded the "Blue Planet for stoners" as fans sent Twitter into meltdown.
Pam, who played Pat Butcher in BBC soap EastEnders, was seen smoking cannabis in ITV’s Gone To Pot tonight.
The documentary shows celebrities travelling across California investigating marijuana use.
The line-up also includes Linda Robson, footballer John Fashnu, darts legend Bobby George and Christopher Biggins.
But it was Pam's smoking session with a group of nuns that prompted viewers to call the show "TV gold".
She was seen smoking cannabis with nuns and puffing on a bong in an "alternative art class".
The actress visited a convent where nuns farm their own weed and she was seen trying the fruits of the sisters' harvest.
She said: "That first puff with the nuns... You just get so relaxed".
Viewers headed to Twitter to laugh about the scene and they branded the show one of the funniest things on TV all year.
One viewers even compared the series to smash hit BBC nature documentary Blue Planet.
They wrote: "Just give @ITV any TV awards they want.
"Pat butcher sucking on a bong is like #BluePlanet2 for stoners. Best TV ever! #GoneToPot."
Another tweeted: "Pat Butcher getting stoned, it's what my TV was made for! #GoneToPot."
A third added: "Pam St. Clement AKA Pat Butcher getting stoned with a group of Nuns is TV gold! #GoneToPot."
Another wrote: "Best thing on telly this year #GoneToPot."
One more viewers even suggested TV should make it a regular celebrity reality show.
They tweeted: "Best thing on the telly all year. They should make it a series and see who lines up to take part. Priceless #GoneToPot."
