BERNARDO SILVA landed at Manchester Airport as the new boy gears up for his first season at City.
But the £43million star looked glum as he arrived with stunning girlfriend Alicia Verrando after their holiday in Ibiza.
Silva was Pep Guardiola's first signing of a £200million summer shopping spree, but was excused from pre-season and given an extended break after helping Portugal to the semi-final of the Confederations Cup.
While his new team-mates were in the US - winning two of their three matches - Silva and Alicia were enjoying time at the beach in the Bahamas and then Formentera, the celeb hotspot close to Ibiza.
According to her LinkedIn page, Alicia was working in Sales for Monaco last season.
City have another pre-season game this weekend, against West Ham in Iceland, and Silva is expected to make his bow in blue.
The 22-year-old was a key player as Monaco won Ligue 1 and reached the semi-final of the Champions League.
The Portuguese attacking midfielder was the first of a summer exodus from the Stade Louis II - with more than £150million of players already sold, and more linked with an exit.

Silva took to Instagram to show City fans he is ready for the season ahead.
Wearing new Adidas boots, he wrote: "I will be ready. Can't wait."
Speaking earlier this summer, Silva revealed where Guardiola wants him to play.
"We spoke after I signed my contract," the forward said.
"He said to me that I need to adapt to the league, to the club.
"He told me which position he wants me to play. He wants me on the right or in the middle.
"I can play in the two positions. But I can also play on the left if needed."
