What time is Countryfile on BBC One tonight and who are the presenters?

When is Countryfile on BBC One and what is it about?

Countryfile continues on BBC One at 6.30pm tonight (Sunday, August 15), with the show lasting an hour.

Each week, the plethora of presenters explore the headlines making the news in the British countryside.

Here are profiles on a few of the different Countryfile presenters.

Who is Countryfile Presenter Sean Fletcher?

Sean Fletcher is an American-British journalist who has become a popular face on ITV and BBC.

He was born in New York City, but grew up living in Zimbabwe and Essex, before starting his journalism career in Cardiff.

He started working on Radio 5 Live and has gone on to host a number of popular shows.

Who is Countryfile presenter Anita Rani?

Anita Rani is an English radio and television presenter known for her presenting work on Countryfile, Watchdog and Four Rooms.

In 2015, Anita took part in Strictly Come Dancing where she was partnered with Gleb Savchenko and reached the semi-final.

She now lives in east London with her husband and co-presented the One Love Manchester tribute concert held in memory of the Manchester bombing victims.

Who is Countryfile presenter Adam Henson?

Adam Henson is an English farmer and television presenter.

He was born on Bemborough Farm near Guiting Power, Gloucestershire, where he now works.

Adam started television work in 2001 on Countryfile and has since worked on a variety of shows including BBC Radio 4's On Your Farm and Farming Today.

He has also written two books about his life: Countryfile: Adam's Farm: My life on the Land (2011) and Like Farmer Like Son (2016).

Who is Countryfile presenter Matt Baker?

Matt was born Matthew James Baker in Easington, County Durham where his father ran a news agents and his parents owned a small holding.

He was educated in the town until he was 10 when his parents bought a farm west of Durham and they moved.

The presenter was a British junior gymnast and sports acrobatics champion but had to give it all up when he was 14 after he was diagnosed with anaemia.

He studied drama at Queen Margaret University College in Edinburgh and as a student worked as an entertainer  and part of a comedy disco-dancing revival show called Disco Inferno who were popular in nightclubs in the north of England.

Matt is married to physiotherapist Nicole while he was part of the show and they married in 2004 and have a son called Luke and a daughter called Molly.

The presenter joined the Countryfile team after Blue Peter, first as a presenter for Countryfile Summer Diaries on weekday mornings on BBC One before co-presenting the evening show.

He also hosted the first series of Secret Britain with Julia Bradbury and One Man and His Dog with Kate Humble.

Matt then joined The One Show as a guest presenter from May to August 2010 standing in for Jason Manford. He took over as a permanent co-host with Alex Baker.

Who is Countryfile presenter Ellie Harrison?

Ellie was born in 1977 and grew up in rural Gloucestershire.

She got her love of the countryside from her family who grew their own fruit and vegetables and kept chickens.

Ellie became fascinate by wildlife when she visited Zimbabwe and she had a degree in Ecology and Geography.

She fell into TV presenting when, working as secretary at Channel 5, she was chosen to fill Michaela Strachan's shoes on Michaela's Wild Challenge while the star was on maternity leave.

President of the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, Ellie is now a regular presenter on Countryfile, a and we have also seen her filming reports for many other similar shows such as Country Tracks, The Great British Winter, Secret Britain and Britain's Sharks.
