Bargain hunters around the country have spotted B&Q cutting the price of trees worth £35 to as little as 10p
B&Q has slashed the price of real Christmas trees to just 10p in some stores, according to eagle-eyed bargain hunters.
A 6ft Nordic spruce tree usually costs around £35 at the DIY store but prices have been dramatically slashed ahead of Christmas.
The biggest discount - where trees are being sold for just 10p - was spotted in a store in Cornwall by a shopper who shared the details on the website.
Other users have since reported cut-price Christmas trees at stores around the country, including the B&Q in Bristol for £1.
While another found a 7ft tree for £10 in Chester as well as £5 for smaller sizes and another shopper reported that the Wandworth branch in London as selling real trees for £2.50.

One lucky shopper in Bournemouth even found a tree being given away for free.
Others have been sharing details about discounts in their local stores. Many have reported that prices have been cut - but only for real trees not artificial ones.
One HotUKDeals member said: “I was straight down there 10 minutes after you posted and got myself a really nice tree for 10p.
“I was expecting to find just a few scraggy trees let but there was a really good selection.”
Another said: “We usually get ours as close to Christmas Eve as possible and decorate it on Christmas Eve as part of the festivities makes great memories and then the kids are always in anticipation to see if presents have miraculously appeared underneath it the following morning.”
A B&Q spokesperson said: “B&Q would like to see every Christmas Tree find a loving home. As we’ve got closer to the big day, a small number of real trees have been offered for amazingly discounted prices, some as little as 10p.”
