With Bros announcing their reunion, here are 10 reasons they were epic and awesome

BAND reunions are all the rage, and you don't even need all the members on board to make it happen.
Take That and The Spice Girls are all at it, and now, finally, Bros are back together. Well, two thirds of the band are.
Cue cheering and a small amount of happy tears from women (and men) of a certain age.
But what was it about Bros which made them so special? Let’s go back to 1987 and look at the evidence.
The logo
Before all bands were brands, Bros had a distinctive logo. And it was brilliant. Simple to draw onto your schoolbooks and unmistakable even without the band name, the logo was everywhere.
They made you feel clever
“You’ve read Karl Marx and you’ve taught yourself to dance, you’re the best by far,” sang Matt Goss. Once you’d frantically looked through the library shelves to work out who Karl Marx was, you felt a bit smug about understanding their brainy lyrics.
They were fashion forward
It’s no secret that the 80’s were a decade where fashion went to die – but the Bros boys didn’t have mullets, they weren’t wearing tracksuits. They looked sexy, but not too sexy if you were 13 at the time.
They were twins
Even though Matt and Luke Goss are identical twins, entire lunch breaks were wasted debating who was better looking. In the dream scenario that their tour bus breaks down outside your house, you and your best friend could get off with one each (as long as you didn't both fancy Matt).
There was another one
Craig Logan was the bass player in the band, and if you didn’t fancy one of the twins, this meant you had another option. Despite the huge success of their first album, Craig quit the band after struggling with health problems and the pressures of stardom. He’s now a very successful music executive.
The jackets
Studded leather jackets, oversized blazers and applique patches. Even girls wanted to dress like the Bros brothers. Hands up who coveted Matt’s red blazer?
The shoes
You weren’t a real Bros fan unless you had Grolsh bottle tops attached to your Dr Martens lace ups. This meant either asking your parents to buy beer or wading through bins behind pubs looking for the elusive pop-top caps.
Double denim
Ripped jeans are back right now, but Bros were wearing ripped boyfriend jeans before ASOS had even been invented (actually before the internet had been invented).
Using the point of a protractor from your school pencil case to rip holes in your newly bought Chelsea Girl jeans didn’t go down well with your mum, but it had to be done.
The music
With 11 top 40 singles and two top ten albums the band were very successful in their day. Why? Because the tunes were brilliant. When Will I Be Famous, Drop The Boy, I Owe You Nothing, Cat Among The Pigeons, they could craft a tune.
They burnt brightly
Let’s be honest, the third album wasn’t a classic. Remember Are You Mine? No, neither do we. So though Bros never officially split up, they quit while the going was good and left us with nothing but great memories. They were classy. And now they’re back.
