NEWCASTLE defender Paul Dummett has surprised a nine-year-old Toon fan recently diagnosed with leukaemia by popping round to his house to play Fifa.
Brave Callum Hall has been struggling to digest the news of his heart-breaking illness, according to mum Michelle.
But the youngster had his spirits lifted, even if just for a few hours, when one of the stars of his favourite team gave him an afternoon he will never forget.
Dad Pete told the : “It was absolutely brilliant and Paul is such a nice lad as well.
"A lad I work with at Tesco has been friends with him since he was a kid and he arranged it.
“When Paul came around to the house it was absolutely magical.
“A car pulled up, a big Land Rover, and my friend was with him. They knocked on the door and I told Callum to come with me to open it.
“Then I said ‘who’s this?’ and he said ‘it’s Paul Dummett!’
"The look on his face was amazing.
“He was here about two hours and he was playing on the PlayStation 4. He couldn’t do enough for us.”
