Oceana and Pryzm nightclub owner ‘on brink of adminstration’ — putting 1,500 jobs at risk
THE UK’s largest nightclub operator is on the brink of folding — putting 1,500 jobs at risk.
Deltic Group runs 52 UK bars and clubs, including Oceana, Pryzm, Atik, Eden and Bar&Beyond.

Venues have suffered during the pandemic, with many hardly open since March.
Yesterday the business confirmed it had filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators, a legal measure that provides protection from creditors for ten working days.
In this time it will seek a rescue — but this would most likely involve a sale to a new owner.
Over the past decade, the clubs have hosted famous names, including S Club 7 and DJ Basshunter.
Earlier this year, a bash was planned for a new club opening in Nottingham, with DJs Roman Kemp and Tom Zanetti rumoured for the launch.
Deltic CEO Peter Marks founded it in 2011 by buying a collapsed nightclub business.
He has been a vocal critic of government policy on nightclubs, saying a lack of support has “slowly choked us to death”.
One upset clubber said online: “Pryzm in Leeds is closing down, just when I thought 2020 couldn’t get any f***ing worse.”
Another added: “I can’t believe Atik’s closing down, had my last horrendous night there and didn’t even realise. RIP an era.”
The Night Time Industries Association said without more financial support, three-quarters of firms face permanent closure.
EO Michael Kill said: “Deltic is a key example of a business that has been stolen from Peter (Marks) by the restrictions.”
