IF you're in need of a career change, then look no further because the Queen is searching for someone to help refurbish Buckingham Palace for a salary of £38k a year.
If you know a thing or two about interior design and construction and fancy rubbing shoulders with the royals, this job could be the one for you.
The enviable new vacancy posted on Linkedin is asking for a Planner to join the palace's Reservicing Programme who will play a key role in an upcoming 10-year refurbishment plan to overhaul its infrastructure - including electrical cabling, plumbing and heating - for the first time since the 1950's.
In brief, it will be your job to make sure the palace is fit for a Queen, or King, or any future royal to step foot in the place for that matter.
The job description reads: "Supporting the Strategic Planner and act as the key interface between the Programme Management Office (PMO)and the contractors and consultants to analyse and feed their programmes into the larger Reservicing programme."
And says: "It's supporting the team who will preserve the palace for years to come. It's working with a shared and unique purpose.
"It's helping to ensure the palace is fit for the future. This is what makes working for the Royal Household so different."
Wow, sounds tempting, right?
The ideal candidate is preferably someone with a background working in construction, and according to the listing, early planning and preparation for the refurb have already been completed, so the chosen candidate will join the pre-existing team within the PMO.
If you haven't already started your application (if not, why?), maybe a few more details will help you decide.
The role is listed as a mid-senior level based on a 37.5 per week, working Monday to Friday and in addition to the £38k salary (depending on experience), the chosen one will be rewarded with a winning benefits package including a 15% employer contribution pension scheme and access to a range of catering and recreational facilities.
If you are lacking the constructions skills, the right candidate is also required to have "vital organisation skills", "excellent written and verbal communication" and a "keen eye for detail" - so maybe sell yourself on one of the above if it means being in with a shot.
