EASTENDERS fans are up in arms at the possibility that Whitney Carter might bed her father-in-law Mick now her husband has left her.
But rather than have sympathy for the long-suffering nursery nurse, scores of fans hit out at her and BLAMED her for her marriage woes - and assumed that soon she would be making a move on Queen Vic landlord Mick.
One viewer tweeted: "Whitney will go and f*** mick now! Father in law sexy time! #EastEnders."
Others seemed to think that she would be trying to crack on with her husband's dad - who she has made a move on several times before.
Whitney most recently planted a kiss on him after she had been trapped underneath a bus last month.
In scenes shown on Tuesday's episode, Whitney and Lee appeared to have put recent marriage troubles to one side as they went out for a romantic dinner to try and patch things up.
A few days prior, Lee had hit her as they had a row about him not being as much of a man as his dad.
But the night ended in heartbreak for Whitney after Lee left the restaurant, telling her he was going to get something for her.
He didn’t come back, leaving Whitney to pay the bill and head home alone – where she realised her other half had done a runner.
All seemed to be well as Lee met his wife at the Queen Vic with flowers and they headed to Beales for a romantic burger and chips.
Whitney assured her husband that they would find a way to get through their troubles – which included Lee hitting her across the face.
Lee looked sad and uncomfortable as she told him how much she loved him but he kissed her hand and told her he’d left something at home for her.
But he didn’t return, and when she got home, she soon realised something was wrong when she saw the wardrobe and bedside table empty.

Whitney then saw a note propped up against the pillow containing Lee’s wedding ring and a note that read: “I’m sorry, I just don’t love you anymore.”
The BBC announced last August that actor Danny-Boy Hatchard, who has played Lee since 2014, would be leaving the soap.
