ITV2 is bringing American Horror Story: 1984 to life with their new reality show that sees contestants avoiding a crazed killer to earn cash.

The horror will be as real for the viewers as the contestants in this show, which drops 11 unsuspecting people into an 80s inspired lakeside lodge.

However, instead of a cute stay in the holiday destination, they are thrust into a game of cat-and-mouse where they must earn money while avoiding being killed by a secret murderer - and getting eliminated from the game.

Over the course of five nights, the murderer will kill fellow campers in more extreme, hilarious and inventive ways.

The others have to work out who is responsible for the murders before they are all killed.

The set up will be familiar to anyone watching the current series of American Horror Story, where the story is set in a summer camp with a grizzly past.

Killer Camp will be hosted by comedian Bobby Mair, who acts as the Camp Counsellor.

Bobby says: "Being a presenter, Camp Counsellor and facilitator of murder is the job I was born to do! I really hope ITV2 viewers have as much fun watching this show as much as I had getting to make it."

James Dorkin - Series Editor for Tuesday's Child, the production company of the show - adds: "Killer Camp has betrayal, romance and horror throwback nostalgia at its core, all wrapped up in a glorious 80s bow.

"We hope the boxset-bingeing twists, alongside the overarching 'whodunnit' narrative will hook viewers  in and keep them locked, until the big reveal on Halloween night."
