K-Klass talk us through a selection of future house classics

AFTER meeting at the fabled Haçienda in Manchester in 1988, UK house music outfit K-Klass are responsible for some of the biggest dance tracks ever made.

K-KLASS soon teamed up with vocalist Bobbi Depasois (who they work with to this day). Hits such as Rhythm is a Mystery and Let Me Show You soon followed.

They cut their teeth playing live at huge raves as well as iconic clubs such as the Haçienda, Cream, Ministry of Sound and many others. Offers of remix and production work followed the hit records. In 1995 K-Klass won the International Dance Awards Remixer Of The Year Award, then followed that in 2002 with a GRAMMY Nomination. The 44th annual Grammy's saw K-Klass nominated as the first UK artist ever in the best remix category.

K-Klass remain a major force in house music in 2023, in demand both as live artists with Bobbi's irresistible and unmistakable vocal talent and as DJs.

They will be joining one of dance music's most famed party starters Alex P and The Prodigy’s Leeroy Thornhill on Saturday night to perform a DJ set with live PA for SHAKE iT at the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

We caught up with K-Klass this week and they’ve kindly put together a playlist of current favourites including Harry Romero’s remix of their classic track Rhythm Is a Mystery.

K-Klass - Rhythm is a Mystery 2021 (Harry Romero Remix)

2021 marked 30 years since the release of our biggest hit Rhythm is a Mystery. We commissioned a set of remixes to mark the anniversary. Harry Romero’s mix is our pick of the bunch and still features heavily in our sets.

Soul Central - Strings Of Life (MK and MTV Remix)

The Soul Central remake of the Rhythim Is Rhythim classic Strings Of Life really did the original justice. The MK and MTV mix takes things to the next level. Always takes the food off when we drop it.

Floorplan - Give Thee Honor

Modern day house music with a strong 90’s flavour. Detroit Techno legend Robert Hood alongside his daughter Lyric deliver a track that works perfectly in a classic 90’s set as well as upfront house sets.

Ridney, Andy Joyce and Richard Earnshaw - Reachin

Ridney, Andy Joyce and Richard Earnshaw team up to take on the late 80’s Phase 2 stone cold classic Reachin’. We sure you’ll agree they’ve more than done it justice!

DJ Fudge - Amnius

DJ Fudge always delivers. This release has strong 90’s flavours. Big pianos and a strong baseline make this a sure fire winner. Be sure to also check his remix of Soulsearcher Feeling Love which is due to drop soon.

The Blessed Madonna featuring Joy - Shades Of Love

Pure uplifting song that makes you wish for those long summer nights.

Schak featuring Kim English - Moving All Around (Jumpin') (John Summit Remix)

Schak & Kim English deliver an absolute bomb courtesy of man of the moment John Summits remix

Riva Starr, Todd Terry - This Is The Sound

Pure jacking track for the new generation as the legend Todd Terry goes to work with Riva Starr.

Redsole - Crank

Using a Donna Summer vocal hook with a rolling disco bass line. This is just perfect for now.

Marshall Jefferson, Ten City & Wh0 - I Love Me

Three huge names from past and present collide and what a collision!! Love this!
