Love Island’s George flirts with Lucie Donlan online – despite her leaving reunion party with ex Joe Garratt
LOVE Island's George Rains has been spotted flirting with Lucie Donlan online - despite her leaving the reunion party with ex Joe Garratt.
The 21-year-old surfer famously brought the 22-year-old hunk back from Casa Amor, but sensationally dumped him just days later as she feared they didn't have a connection.
But George hasn't given up hope, being caught leaving flirty messages on the blonde beauty's Instagram page.
Lucie shared a sultry photo of herself posing on a beach in a striped dress, with her wavy blonde hair falling down her shoulders as she turns her head towards the camera.
She captioned the stunning post: "Keep your mind clear and your heart at peace", but it appears George was more focused on the image than the inspirational words.
Trying to impress by using Lucie's lingo, George commented on the photo: "Bev" alongside a fire and heart emoji.
Lucie cheekily replied: "Oh youuuu" with the bashful monkey emoji.
In the villa, Lucie hit the headlines when she and Maura Higgins teamed up to dump both of their men in a savage firepit chat.
Speaking to both George and Maura's partner Marvin Brooks, Lucie said at the time: "Me and Maura feel the same, we're just not feeling it."
During Sunday night's Aftersun reunion, Lucie was forced to deny that she was dating her first Love Island partner Joe Garratt after they were spotted snogging at a star-studded party.
She told host Caroline Flack: "We're just chilling as friends.
"We're taking it slow, there's no rush."
She also revealed that she WASN'T drunk when she kissed Joe at the ITV Summer do, insisting: "We didn’t really drink at the time because it was so nice to see everyone."
Despite this, the pair were seen leaving the reunion party in a taxi together.
Joe was spotted carrying Lucie's stuff into the cab as they headed off into the night.
They were later spotted pulling up to a hotel at 2am in the morning, attempting to keep their distance to avoid arousing speculation about their status.
Lucie was torn between Tommy Fury and sandwich-maker Joe during the first week on Love Island, ultimately choosing to couple up with Joe before Tommy found love with Instagram influencer Molly-Mae.
Before Joe was brutally dumped from the villa, he came under fire for expressing concern about Lucie's friendship with Tommy - admitting that he felt she still had feelings for him, which she fiercely denied.
However, shortly after Lucie confessed that she had a crush on the hunk, with viewers stunned as she tried to crack on with him multiple times as the show progressed.

She even admitted that she still had feelings for him after she brought George back to the main villa following the show's Casa Amor twist.
Lucie broke things off with George shortly afterwards, with the two being dumped from the villa together after she enraged fans when she broke down in tears as Tommy asked Molly to be his girlfriend.
The surfer then faced backlash when she refused to give up on her chances with Tommy during her exit interview, insisting that they might stand a chance in the outside world.
