CURTIS Pritchard was awkwardly blanked by Maura Higgins' pals as they burst into an Irish pub after their Love Island success.

The pair finished in fourth place during Monday night's finale, with Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea nabbing the top spot.

Yesterday, they jetted from London to Ireland so 28-year-old Maura could be reunited with her friends and family, and while she received a hero's welcome Curtis appeared to be sidelined.

The moment the couple enter the pub can be seen in a video posted to the Irish beauty's best friend's Instagram Story.

In the clip, a crowd cheer and shriek as Maura and Curtis walk through the door, with Maura being covered in pink confetti as she puts her hands to her mouth in disbelief.

The former grid girl then bends down to embrace a little girl who had run up for a welcome home hug, with 23-year-old Curtis in shot in the background.

The professional dancer appears awkward as he smiles at Maura and the child, holding his hands together as he stands behind her.

With the attention very much on Maura, Curtis appears to have been snubbed by her loved ones - after a rocky first meeting with Maura's mum during Love Island.

Viewers were convinced that the beauty's "mammy" wasn't a fan of Curtis when she visited the villa at the weekend.

She initially raised eyebrows when she bypassed Curtis upon entering the villa to embrace Ovie Soko, telling him: "This is the man I want to see!"

She later sparked speculation that she isn't a fan of the professional dancer during a chat with her daughter.

In an awkward conversation, the Irish beauty's mum only managed to call Curtis "nice", before adding: "There's obviously something that you see in him."

She added that she "trusted" Maura to do the right thing, convincing viewers at home that she doesn't like Curtis.

One cynic wrote: "Maura's mum doesn't rate Curtis at all and neither do I."

Another added: "Maura’s mum definitely doesn’t like Curtis lmao".

Meanwhile Curtis' own mother was slammed after repeatedly failing to pronounce Maura's name correctly, instead calling her Moira.

Maura and Curtis' visit to Ireland comes one day after Curtis introduced his partner to his famous brother AJ over FaceTime.

The Strictly Come Dancing professional posted a screenshot of the conversation with his brother and Maura to his Instagram Story.

He captioned the picture: "@CurtisPritchard12 See you soon. Hey @MauraHiggins Great to actually meet you // via Facetime."

The couple looked happy and relaxed in the blurry picture, with AJ previously missing out when the brothers' parents jetted off to Majorca to meet Maura as part of the show.
