LOVE Island fans were shocked to find out that Molly-Mae Hague's cuddly toy Ellie Belly is a boy in the final.
The 20-year-old was quizzed about how she felt to have made the final alongside Tommy Fury when she referred to the stuffed animal as a 'he'.

She told Caroline Flack: "I had a little chat with Ellie-Belly earlier and he said he never expected to make the final.”
And fans soon took to social media to talk about it, as they explained that they had always thought of the cuddly toy as a girl.

The stuffed elephant has been right by Molly-Mae's side ever since she strolled into the villa as a bombshell and won Tommy's heart during their hot tub date.

Although, he nearly was sent home packing within days of arrival, as it was reported that producers had confiscated him.
Molly was seen cuddling her toy in bed as voiceover man Iain Stirling told viewers that she'd brought a contraband item into the villa.
However, Ellie Belly's exit didn't last long as he was later spotted back in bed with Molly-Mae and Tommy, with the pair often referring to him as their 'baby'.
Earlier this month, the toy was present for Molly-Mae's return from Casa Amor and was even roped in to the plot when Tommy asked the social media influencer to be his girlfriend on the terrace, as he attached a note to him.

The note said: “Dear Mummy. Daddy left me here in his best interests.
"He wanted me to tell you that you’re his everything. I’m going to leave it with Daddy. So…”
Tommy then said to Molly-Mae: “On a serious note, you know how much you mean to me and you’re the only girl for me.
"I only want to be with you. Therefore, I was wondering if you wanted to be my girlfriend?”

Ellie Belly wasn't just a comfort for Molly-Mae during the series either, as he was given to Michael after Joanna Chimonides was kicked out the villa.
And unlike the rest of the nation, who had the luxury of looking away when it came down to the bedtime scenes, Ellie Belly had to endure watching his parents have sex in the same bed as him.
As their bodies moved under the duvet, the camera panned to Molly-Mae's cuddly toy Ellie-Belly as it lay on the bed shaking as the bed moved from the couple's antics.
Viewers were horrified for the toy, which has become one of the stars of this year's series.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "Ellie Belly has seen the most, his parents' bed was shaking #loveisland."
Another tweeted: "Poor ellie bellie, the things her eyes have seen."
However, despite being the longest-standing couple of the series, Molly-Mae and Tommy missed out on the grand prize during last night's live final.
Amber Gill, 21, and Greg O'Shea, 24, were crowned king and queen of Love Island 2019- with the influencer being accused of fake smiling as the news was announced.

When Caroline Flack announced their rivals had pipped them to the post, Molly-Mae was seen with a massive smile painted to her face - which viewers have claimed was covering her secret fury.
Flocking to social media, one fan wrote: "Molly Mae should have just won purely for that fake smile."
Another pointed out: "Molly is in shock. She has that tight smile."
This is far from the first time that Molly-Mae has been accused of being fake, with fans doubting how genuine her feelings are for Tommy throughout the series.

In fact, some have given her the nickname "Money-Mae" as they claimed that she was only with the boxer to win the £50,000 prize fund.
It has also been said that she has "fake cried" throughout the series - most recently during her declaration of love to Tommy during last night's show.
Meanwhile, it wasn't just Molly's facial expressions that got fan-attention after Amber and Greg's victory, with Maura Higgins' stunned look also raising eyebrows.
