Love Island contestants shocked to be woken up by crying as the baby task happens TONIGHT

THE peace of the Love Island villa is shattered tonight as the Islanders wake up to the sound of babies crying.

Curtis Pritchard walks groggily out of the bedroom to find a room full of baby dolls making an awful racket.

The baby cots and push chairs are all lined up ready for the remaining Islanders to take on the challenge.

Curtis appears keen to see what the fuss is about and is the first to check on the babies.

Meanwhile, Amber looks devastated to have her sleep disturbed and refuses to get out of bed.

But Anna Vakili looks the least keen on today’s baby challenge and fumes: "I don’t want a baby with him [Jordan]."

Speaking in the Beach Hut, she says: "I don’t know whose baby that is, because it’s not mine. He probably doesn’t even know whose baby it is himself."
Jordan cares for his baby as a single dad, while the other Islanders come together in their couples to name their first child.
India and Ovie name their baby Raymond Junior, Curtis and Maura call theirs Bella, Molly-Mae and Tommy go with Tommy Junior (TJ), Chris and Harley choose Penny-Sue Tinkerbell, Anton and Belle name their baby Valentino and Amber and Greg name their little one Kobe.

Yesterday we revealed that Love Island will do the baby task this year after fans feared it’d been ditched alongside the lie detector test.

It's been a long-standing tradition that the islanders are faced with the reality of becoming parents to toy dolls who need changed, washed and fed.

But the challenge pushes couples to the brink as they row about who has to spend less time sunbathing and more time babysitting - and even what they should call their darling newborn.

Former star Montana Brown previously quipped: "It's the best form of contraception."

"It's one of the most popular tasks of the show, which never fails to entertain fans," a show insider told us.

"Although it always pushes the couples' buttons it's a fun and lighthearted moment that gives islanders an, often terrifying, glimpse into the future."

In the past, the Islanders were all woken by a chorus of screams from a number of baby dolls in what usually becomes the biggest test of their relationships yet.

Each couple is usually assigned a baby and automatically become new 'parents', which means they must tend to their baby's every need which includes feeding as well as nappy changes.

Not all the Islanders rise to the task, with most often struggling to even deal with the idea of looking after a baby.

But others, like series three star Chris Hughes, get incredibly attached to their bundle of joy - and even shed a tear at the end of the task.

It was unclear whether the baby challenge would still take place for Love Island's fifth series after the axing of its lie detector test in an effort to clean up the show.

The Sun on Sunday revealed the lie detector would not return this year following the death of a Jeremy Kyle Show guest, and last year’s row over the way eventual winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham were treated.

But last night viewers were begging for its return, claiming it was needed to expose "rattled" Molly-Mae Hague's true feelings.

Despite the couple being favourites to win the show, some fans are unconvinced by Molly-Mae and fear she is only using Tommy to win £50,000.

And with the only other strong couple - Anna and Jordan - on the rocks, it has led many fans to argue that none of the islanders deserve the prize money.
