Love Island’s Amber confesses to Michael she still has feelings for him as Joanna confronts him on tense date
LOVE Island’s Amber Gill confesses to Michael Griffiths she still has feelings for him as Joanna Chimonides confronts him on a tense date.
Tonight’s show sees the islanders head out for a party, but it’s not all fun and games.
Amber, 21, who was partnered with Michael until the Casa Amor twist, takes the firefighter aside to tell him she can’t get over her feelings for him, despite him now being coupled up with Joanna, 22.
She says: “I just wanted to kind of put it on the table because I feel like, Chris coming in, made me realise even more like how much we did have a good thing.”
As Michael, 27, listens intently, she continues: “I know that we had our issues, but I feel like, if I had just handled it better or been more open with you, we wouldn’t be at this point right now, as I do think we had a good thing going.
“Obviously I do still like you, I can’t switch my feelings off.”
Michael also finds himself having an intense heart-to-heart with Joanna at the bash.
He tells her: “I’m so happy now that you’re here and that we’re moving forwards.”
But she points out how he still seems to have his eye on Amber, saying: “At the end of the day it’s been hard because obviously there has been times when I’ve seen you obviously look over or whatever.
“And it has been awkward because the way you do look at her you know sometimes I’m like, he still has feelings for her, personally.”

Michael insists he only has eyes for her, saying of Amber: “No there’s no feelings there.”
But she responds: “I just struggle with the fact that you’ve turned your feelings off so quickly.”
Meanwhile, they aren’t the only couple who don’t have the best time at the party, as Anton and Belle also clash spectacularly after Belle takes Anton to task for an earlier kissing challenge.
However they might want to kiss and make up quickly as host Caroline Flack arrives to tell the islanders the public have been voting for their favourite couples and at least one pair faces being dumped from the villa.
Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
